Be careful when driving through rural townships

Mack Road in Oakland County, Mich.’s Addison Township is a beast to drive on. Countless tiny crater potholes everywhere. I think my car’s suspension is now gone. Next time, I’ll have to make sure I take an alternate route when covering an assignment there. Today it was a house that had been on fire.

  1. Yes, Mack Rd. is particularly bad. Did you know that Oakland County has a time limit within which they must respond to a complaint about road conditions? The only reason I know this ia because a friend of mine was paralyzed in a car accident on Mack Rd. and because there was a prior complaint filed that went over the limit, he received a generous settlement. At least, that was how it was explained to me.
